Whether or not you're a First Acceptance Insurance customer, you may file a claim by calling our dedicated Claims Representatives at 1.800.779.2103 or by emailing us at newclaims@firstacceptance.com.

What if no one answers when I call the claims number and I can’t reach my adjuster?

Our adjusters attempt to return all voicemails before 3pm local time, any voicemail received after that time will be returned the next business day.

What is the expected turnaround time from submitting my claim to hearing from my adjuster?

Once an adjuster receives your claim, they will reach out you should expect to hear from an adjuster within 1 business day of the initial receipt of your claim. Business days are constituted as Monday through Friday.

What goes into consideration when determining the status of my claim?

If you’re submitting a new claim to newclaims@firstacceptance.com, you can expect to hear back from an adjuster within 1 business day. If you have an ongoing claim and you email us at existingclaims@firstacceptance.com it may take longer, as it does not go directly to your adjuster. Depending on the nature of the email with the ongoing claim, it could take between 1-3 business days to receive a call from your adjuster. Your best bet is to always reach out to your adjuster directly.

What do I do if I can’t reach my adjuster?

You can call us at (800) 779-2103, and we will put you in contact with someone that can assist you.

I work for a body shop, who do I contact when I have a question about the claim I’m working on?

General questions regarding the claim should be directed to the claims adjuster. For supplement requests, the body shop should call the supplement hotline 1.800.962.4984. Any questions regarding damages can be answered by the appraiser that wrote the estimate. Their contact information is on the estimate provided by the vehicle owner.

What could impact the timing of a decision being made on my claim?

There are a few reasons as to why it could be taking longer to resolve: · If the claim consists of an unlisted driver or vehicle · Third Party Injuries · Bodily injury and liability are involved · Attorney and/or police investigations

What happens if I need to file a claim outside of business hours?

You can file a claim 7 days a week with First Acceptance by calling us at 1.800.779.2103 or by emailing us at newclaims@firstacceptance.com

How long does it take to receive a settlement?

Once coverage, liability and damages are verified, payment can be issued within 1 business day. To ensure you receive your settlement quickly, provide your email and phone number when asked. You can choose PayPal, debit, or ACH deposit. Receiving a check in the mail is also an available option.

Can I get my deductible back?

If you were not at fault for the automobile loss, we will attempt to collect the deductible from the at-fault driver or their personal insurer on your behalf.

What is a Lienholder?

A lien holder holds owns the loan on your car and your title. If you are making payments or leasing a car, a bank or dealership is probably your lien holder.

What is a Deductible?

A deductible is the out-of-pocket money you pay before your insurance coverage begins. It's typically $250 to $1,000 per claim. For example, if the covered claim is valued at $2,500 and your deductible is $500, you pay $500. First Acceptance pays the remaining $2,000. To reduce your monthly premium payment, choose a higher deductible.

What is a Total Loss?

A vehicle is considered a total loss when it is determined that the vehicle is non-repairable. This decision can be driven by either the cost of repairs, or the extent of damage to your vehicle.

My car has been totaled. Now what?

First, remove your personal items as soon as possible. Leave your key with the car. First Acceptance Insurance will get your permission to move your vehicle it to a free storage facility which is typically no cost to you. If it the vehicle has been towed to a storage facilityimpounded, fees can add up quickly, so you will need to we will take action as soon as possible to mitigate those expenses. Locate your loan paperwork or your title so we can process your claim as quickly as possible. NOTE: If you do have an auto loan, you must continue to make payments on your car until your claim is settled.

What is Medical Payments Coverage?

This benefit could helps you , your covered family members, and covered and any passengers pay for necessary and reasonable medical treatment caused by a car accident. It doesn't matter who's at fault. Expenses may include: · Ambulance · Emergency Room/Hospital · Physicians · X-Rays · Surgery · Funeral

What is Bodily Injury Liability Coverage?

If you are at fault and cause injuries to other parties, this coverage pays for the injury claims offor those injured third parties. This may include medical expenses, pain and suffering and legal costs associated with those claimed injuries.

What is Personal Injury Protection (PIP)?

PIP offers extended coverage in case you're hurt in an accident, whether or not it was your fault. In addition to covering required medical expenses, PIP can also help pay for lost wages, childcare and funerals. Can I view my Insurance ID card and other documents online?

You certainly can do that! Simply register on MyAccount using the email address you used when purchasing the policy.

How do I make a payment?

1) Online: You can make a payment using your phone or your computer by visiting this page by using a debit or credit card. Use the quick pay option just using your policy number and date of birth. Log in or create an account using the email address you used when you purchased the policy. 2) Over the phone using our automated payment system using a debit or credit card. Is it possible to set up monthly automatic payments?
